POSITION TITLE: ASSISTANT PLANT MANAGER: REPORTS TO: Plant Manager: DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - The Assistant Plant Manager supports the Plant Manager in directing: safety activities; quality processes; manufacturing activities; inbound movements of raw material, outbound finished goods distribution, maintenance, and supervision and operations for the Plant. - Leads all departments in the plant with department managers or supervisors to maintain safety, quality, service and efficient production. - Is responsible for promoting and fostering a culture of excellence in all activities for safety, service, quality, and production. - Coordinates production, distribution, warehousing and manufacturing in accordance with policies, principles, and established procedures. - Develops and implements plans for efficient use of materials, machines, and employees. - Reviews production costs and product quality, and modifies production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operation of plant. - Directs preparation of production, human resources and labor/costs records. - Recommends budgets to management. - Maintains positive working relationship with sales management...
