Position Summary This position is responsible for supporting the development, delivery, and evaluation of fire safety education and prevention programs to the community to reduce risk and enhance public safety. Working under the functional guidance and leadership of the Fire Prevention Officer, the role supports compliance with applicable legislation through public outreach, inspections, and investigations, while promoting fire prevention awareness across a variety of audiences and communication platforms. Job Title Public Educator (Fire services) Wage Probation $69,659 to 1st Class $107,168 Yearly (2023) Reports To Deputy Chief, Fire Prevention Department Fire Service: Location Headquarters, or as assigned: Hours Full-time, Normal working hours are 40 hours per week Other This posting is for an existing, currently open position within Kawartha Lakes Fire Services.
