Production Planner I Position Summary: The Production Planner will create the Production schedule for one or various Value Stream area(s) to best satisfy current and forecasted demand, while meeting business objectives of safety, quality, on time delivery, competitive customer lead times, profitability, and inventory. The Production Planner will also support daily management activities to ensure commitments are achieved, communicate order status to customer service, and ensure project management teams are supported. The role requires the above to be accomplished within Tecomet’s principles of continuous improvement, customer driven innovation and a win first culture, while meeting company financial and other performance metrics. Principle Responsibilities: - Ability to understand and utilize MRP and how master data drives material requirement planning. - The candidate must be able to plan all operations starting with the receipt of purchase orders through shipping of product. - Assist the purchasing department with outsourcing processes. - Maintain appropriate inventory levels to meet and exceed inventory targets and turns; as well as seek opportunities to reduce inventory through...
