Job Description: At Saab in West Lafayette, IN, you have the exciting opportunity to join a team that manufactures the rear section of the T-7A Redhawk military trainer aircraft for the United States Air Force. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Materials Specialist who will work cross-functionally to analyze material flow, packaging and material shortages to provide solutions for greater operational efficiency. Responsibilities include: Lead development and manage data, storage, and replenishment strategy for direct Material components used in advanced manufacturing process Reduce operational costs through efficiencies gained with lean manufacturing concepts Independently select methods and techniques for obtaining and implementing Material flow solutions Maintain ERP system planning parameters to align with the material “Plan for Every Part “ (PFEP) strategy process Maintain required documentation outside the ERP system as necessary to support ongoing process monitoring and change management.
