Emergency Department (ED) is a 74- bed department within York Hospital, a Level 1 Trauma Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center and Chest Pain Accredited Center of Excellence. In addition to the 74 treatment spaces, we have a 3-bed trauma bay and secure unit for behavioral health patients. Full-Time - 0.9 FTE/72 Hours Biweekly Day Shift - 0300-1500 or 1100-2300; 0700-1900 NOT available Every 3rd Weekend; 1 Major, 1 Minor and 1 Split Holiday Eligible for Shift Differential: Sign-On Bonus Eligible: General Summary: Provides professional nursing care at the beginner practitioner level in accordance with the principles of patient and family-centered care based on the nursing process and according to the clinical standards of the hospital. Acts as a primary nurse for patients on the unit. Coordinates care planning with other disciplines. May require specialized skills depending on unit assignment.
