The Role Reporting to the Operations & Engineering Manager at our Brisbane site, this position is a technical leader who maintains a physical 'hands on' presence. Accountability includes performance of the workshop team and continuous improvement in all operational aspects. Safety: Environment Health & Safety (EH&S) - Maintain zero accidents and incidents while ensuring compliance to all EH&S regulations Report all incidences promptly and in accordance with the safety management system. Lead safety initiatives and improvements for area of responsibility Act as role model for maintaining safety practices (including Psychosocial) and lead bi weekly safety tool box talks People: Supervise hourly employees to comply with production objectives, business policies procedures and guidelines. Authorise weekly timesheets: Manage and coach team leaders to provide on-the-spot employee feedback with regard to performance and conduct Support the Operations & Engineering Manager to perform annual performance appraisal, implementing (with direction from Human Resources and operations manager) disciplinary action where necessary.
