Description Located in Portland, Oregon, Lewis & Clark College is a small liberal arts college with 2,100 undergraduates. We invite applications for a 2-year post-doctoral position in Data Science. The Data Science program at Lewis & Clark consists of an undergraduate minor supported by an interdisciplinary group of faculty members. This position will collaborate with existing faculty to elevate the data science program by offering enriching introductory and upper division data science courses. Candidates must be committed to supporting the development of an innovative Data Science program in a liberal arts undergraduate setting, and to excellence in teaching and scholarship. We will consider candidates who have completed or are on track to complete a PhD in any applied field (Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, or Humanities) who have advanced training in data science. The successful candidate must be able to teach Introduction to Data Science, an intermediate data science course with an applied emphasis, and an upper division course in an area of their expertise, for example applied statistical modeling.
