Description The Safety & Security Officer supports and advances the mission of FCS by overseeing the safety and security of students, staff, visitors, and property on campus; is responsible to the Business & Operations Director. Responsibilities of the Safety & Security Officer A. Student/campus safety-related responsibilities: 1. Patrol school grounds/buildings multiple times each day; maintain an obvious daily presence in all key areas of campus (hallways, parking lots, cafeteria, etc.) 2. Develop healthy and helpful relationships with students, staff, parents, and visitors 3. Assure visitors report to school offices for Raptor Visitor Management registration; accompany visitors as necessary while on campus 4. Address improper behavior with students and attempt to obtain voluntary compliance with school policies, detaining students if necessary 5. Monitor security cameras and research recorded data when needed 6. Report violations of school policies to the building principal 7. Attend major school events, after school and evening events as requested, all home football games (typically Saturdays), major sports events and tournaments, and other events/activities at the discretion o...
