Description Head Start has an opening for a full-time Teacher position working 35 hours per week. Responsible for working in collaboration with an Assistant Teacher to prepare and implement lesson plans for preschool children ages 3-5; completing required developmental, behavioral, and sensory screenings; ensuring lesson plans and teaching strategies are individualized for each child, including children with IEP’s; utilizing curriculum and computer software accurately; maintaining child records and documentation; participating in recruitment activities for enrollment, following all health and safety standards, and providing active supervision of all children at all times. Requirements: A graduate from an accredited college or university with at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or correlated discipline is preferred; Associate degree in a related field with knowledge of child development and experience in teaching preschool children will be considered; furthering education may be required to meet additional Head Start requirements.
