Job description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Operational Management - Lead daily operations of the air freight gateway, ensuring timely and accurate handling of inbound and outbound shipments. - Monitor and optimize cargo consolidation, routing, and load planning. - Ensure compliance with customs regulations, security protocols, and company policies. - Team Leadership - Manage and develop gateway operations staff, including supervisors and warehouse personnel. - Foster a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement. - Carrier & Vendor Coordination - Liaise with airlines, ground handlers, and trucking partners to ensure service reliability and cost control. - Negotiate rates and service agreements with local vendors. - Performance & Reporting - Track KPIs such as on-time performance, cost per kilo, and space utilization. - Prepare regular reports for regional leadership and contribute to strategic planning. - Process Improvement - Identify and implement process enhancements to improve throughput, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction. - Support digitalization and automation initiatives. - Customer & Stakeholder Engagement - Collaborate with sales, customer service, and product team...
