Position Status: Part time Shift: Other (United States of America) Hours per week: 24 Job Information Exemption Status: Non-Exempt A Brief Overview: This Patient Care Technician is a student enrolled in the Topeka Center for Advanced Learning and Careers (TCALC) program. The students is a member of the care delivery team functioning under the direction of, and be assistive to, a Registered Nurse. The student is responsible for providing a safe environment for their assigned patients; to complete the assigned work; to monitor the patient for changes in condition and to report those changes to the RN; to document the work they complete; and to be an active participant in the learning process. Education Qualifications: Successfully completed a medical assistant or patient care technician program. Required or A Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, Registered Medical Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant, or Emergency Medical Technician may be substituted for the educational requirement.
