JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing and directing all the activities of the Fiscal department by ensuring internal controls are in place, providing financial projections and meeting its obligations. This individual has oversight of fiscal operations, financial reporting, budget development and recommends improvements to financial processes ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: · Manages and supervises all aspects by providing strategic direction and business objectives and goals for the Fiscal Operations department. · Manages and monitors the departmental budget and performance measures by ensuring adequate internal controls are in place. · Develops budgets, implements budget plan, initiates budget request, tracks expenditures, prepares forecast projections and develops corrective action plans. · Establishes reporting system, maintains all accounting systems, and develops accounting procedures according to the rules and regulations and applicable local, state, and federal guidelines. · Interfaces with auditors, provides oversight and is the lead in resolving all outstanding matters as related to Fiscal Operations.
