JOB TITLE: Materials Planner JOB CODE: 40500215: JOB LEVEL: B7: FUNCTION: Operations: SUBFUNCTION: Materials/Logistics: REPORTS TO: Materials Manager: DIRECT REPORTS: N/A: JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for providing production and material planning to support value stream objectives. Create production schedules and material releases to support customer demand and level scheduling for manufacturing. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: - Review and distribute production, work, and shipment schedules. - Compile reports on progress of work, inventory levels, costs, and production problems. - Interface with manufacturing with respect to schedule controls, inventory management, capacity utilization and customer needs - Plan shipments and arrange for carriers to deliver products to our customers. - Order appropriate quantities of raw materials while working within our inventory goals. - Monitor inventory to FG, WIP and raw targets.
