This position is responsible for coordinating interfacility transports and arranging transportation services for discharged patients. The Patient Transport Coordinator works closely with GRH transport departments, local EMS providers, and public transportation services to ensure timely and efficient non-emergent and emergent transport solutions.Key responsibilities include auditing and reviewing healthcare documentation to ensure compliance with medical standards and billing protocols. This role requires expertise in medical terminology and ambulance billing requirements to validate patient demographic and insurance information.
