Requisition ID: 65766 Title: Accountant II- State and Local Taxation M ain Objective: Perform general accounting, reconciliation and reporting duties in conjunction with US State and Local Taxation (SALT), Canadian GST, 1099, 1042-S Backup Withholding Taxes, Business Licenses, Annual Reports and Tangible Personal Property Tax (TPPT) Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Reporting - Provide monthly and calendar year summary of sales and tax reports - Provide quarterly summary of annual reports filing status - Provide quarterly summary of business licenses filing status - Provide summary report of states with pending adjustments and amended returns due Transactional Processes and Account Maintenance: Audits: State, Local, IRS, TPPT, Unclaimed Property Reports, and Other Miscellaneous Audits - Perform monthly tax reconciliations between Vertex tax engine and SAP ERP - Reconcile, prepare, and file GST, Sales, Use, Consumer’s Use, Excise Tax Returns - Reconcile, prepare, and file tangible personal property tax reports - Complete annual 1099 reconciliation and reports - Complete annual 1042-S reconciliation and reports - Respond to and/or assign email inquiries from the business, vendor...
