Job Title: Mine Operator Reports To : Mine Shift Supervisor Location : New Mexico – East Plant (Relocation bonus or use of company housing is available for candidates that qualify when applicable.) OVERVIEW: A Mine Operator operates and monitors mine equipment to produce quality products safely and efficiently. This position requires attention to detail and problem-solving skills to make adjustments and fix any issues. We also have underground maintenance and electrical positions available, too. JOB DUTIES: - Operate mine equipment, including, but not limited to: miner (machine that cuts ore), roof bolter (to mount a 3’ bolt in the roof of the mine) dozer and shuttle car - Execute tasks to assist in production process, such as: change bits in miner, move power cables, and hand shovel conveyor belt tail sections - Complete pre-shift inspections, as well as preventative maintenance and equipment clean up, to ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently - Perform other duties as assigned REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: - High school diploma or GED - Valid Driver’s License - Minimum one (1) year general labor and/or industrial plant experience OPPORTUNITIES: - Medical plans with p...
