Swim Instructor (Per Diem/Registry) - Wellness Center

Job description

Position Summary: This role is responsible for providing effective and safe swim instruction tailored to individuals’ needs and abilities that are participating in private or small group lessons. Primary Duties: - Lead individual and group learn to swim lessons for members and guests. - Teach within the standards and guidelines of swim instructor certification. - Understand individual abilities to deliver lessons in a safe and effective manor to all levels of physical ability. - Ability to assess individual needs through evaluation of strength and proficiency in the water. - Maintain required certifications in good standing and complete any required continuing education. - Ability to be flexible and accommodating to meet Wellness Center hours and member needs. - Must meet and maintain all safety requirements and certifications necessary to perform job duties. - Complete knowledge of all Wellness Center safety protocols and confidence communicating via radio/overhead and with EMS as needed. - Represent Humboldt Park Health in a positive and professional manner.
