Hunton Andrews Kurth is seeking a highly experienced Director of Government Affairs to manage Virginia legislative activities and lobby on behalf of our Firm clients. The successful candidate will advise on legislative and regulatory issues, coordinate client interactions with elected officials, and lead the development and execution of legislative strategies. Client Service Excellence: Legislative Advocacy & Public Policy Impact - Independently communicate with clients to advise on the status and impact of pending and proposed legislation. - Coordinate weekly legislative updates summarizing and analyzing legislative initiatives during sessions. - Recommend and assist in preparation and implementation of seminars on pending or adopted legislation and regulations. - Identify business development opportunities for practice groups and the Firm. - Maintain the highest standards of ethical conduct and professionalism. - Determine regulatory and legislative priorities impacting current and prospective clients. - Research, analyze, and monitor Virginia state legislative activities and coordinate firm involvement. - Lobby the Virginia General Assembly and Executive Branch on behalf of clie...
