Location: Remote GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: to appropriate payers. - Identify delinquent accounts, aging periods, and payment sources. - Perform collection actions, including contacting patients via telephone and resubmitting claims - Evaluate patient financial status and establish payment plans as needed. - Predictable and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position. - Maintain current knowledge of third-party payer regulations and requirements. - Communicate changes in regulations or processes to management and team members. - Ensure accurate and organized documentation of account activity. - Meet assigned cash collection and productivity goals. EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent. EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing and collections or comparable education in a related field. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: Bilingual skills are a plus. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
