Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced CT Technologist for our CT Department who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing. As a CT Technologist you will: - Perform CT examinations in accordance with the protocols established by the radiologists. - Demonstrate proficiency in operating CT-scanner and all ancillary equipment within CT department. - Assist radiologist and other staff in interventional procedures. - Understand principles and dangers involved in the administration of oral and intravenous contrast. - Identify contraindications to IV contrast administration and recognize symptoms of IV contrast reactions. - Properly identify patients, review orders and select scanning protocols in order to maximize quality and safe patient care in CT. - Accurately perform documentation in all computer systems within CT and Imaging Services pertinent to CT scanning (HIS, RIS, PACS, Telelradiography, image reformatting) - Maximize patient throughput and demonstrates te...
