Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Description: Perdiem Office Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30-5 101 Union Ave. Syracuse, New York POSITION SUMMARY: Dental Hygienist will conduct initial patient examinations, prophylaxis, dental x-rays, polishing, fluoride treatment, advising patients on oral health and preventative care, paperless documentation of patient's medical history, vitals, and progress notes. The Dental Hygienist will also be responsible for the decontamination and sterilization of dental instruments as well as the decontamination of their treatment rooms. Our Dental Hygienist work collaboratively with our dental residents providing closely coordinated, interdependent, patient centered oral health care services. Policies and protocols of St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center and primary care center are followed by all team members. EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE: Graduate of an accredited school of dental hygiene. Licensed with current registration to practice in New York State.
