Accounting Assistant – Healthcare Finance Part‑Time with Opportunity for Full‑Time: Schedule: Part‑Time (20–25 hours/week), with potential to transition to Full‑Time Pay rate: $17.00 per hour: Freedom Village is seeking a detail‑oriented Accounting Assistant with experience in healthcare billing and financial processes to support our accounting team. This role will begin as a part‑time position and offers a strong opportunity to transition into a full‑time role based on performance and organizational needs. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and familiar with billing, payer systems, and financial documentation in a healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities: - Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable, including healthcare‑related transactions and long-term care related transactions - Support medical billing processes, including invoicing, payment posting, and adjustments - Review and reconcile patient billing, insurance payments, and explanations of benefits (EOBs) - Enter and maintain accurate financial and billing data in accounting and practice management systems - Reconcile bank statements and selected general ledger accounts - Assist with month‑end clo...
