Overview Electric Boat is seeking a Safety Representative to report to the Manager of Safety and Industrial Hygiene. A Safety Representative’s career path is as follows: Safety Representative, Safety Representative Senior, Safety Specialist, Safety Specialist Senior, and the highest, Safety Representative Staff Specialist. An employee’s initial title and compensation will be determined based upon the selected candidate’s experience and education. Employees assigned to work on second shift are entitled to a 7% shift differential to be added to base pay. Responsibilities include: This position requires one to work overtime as necessary, provide off-shift and weekend coverage, and travel on company business as necessary. Furthermore, the selected candidate will be required to be an active member of the deck plate safety and industrial hygiene programs to address issues and concerns at an industrial defense plant and work as a proactive safety professional by joining the Safety Team here at Electric Boat. - Interfacing with all levels of management, production workers, and regulatory personnel - Conducting periodic surveillance's of ships and facilities for Safety deficiencies (includi...
