Job Title: Tumor Registrar Department: Tumor Registry: Location: Lipson Cancer Institute - Rochester General Health, 1561 Long Pond Rd, Rochester, NY 14626 Hours Per Week: 40: Schedule: Variable between 7:30 am - 4:30 pm SUMMARY: Identifies, registers, and maintains a database of patients with malignant and non-malignant tumors, utilizing a tumor registry data system. Participates in the activities of data collection, editing, special studies, projects and follow-up and quality assurance. Assists in the analysis of data and disseminates information at a state and national level within guidelines, ensuring conformity of data. RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintains a reportable list including those diagnoses that are to be included in the registry and those that are excluded. Maintains a computerized suspense file identifying cases to be entered into the registry. Maintains a computerized accession register of all reportable cases accessioned in the registry. Ensures accuracy of data collection on all registry cases for future patient care and research.
