Program Description: The Foot Care Nurse provides high-quality foot care to clients of the BMHC, including comprehensive assessments, interventions and education. By focusing on individuals with foot-related concerns, particularly those with diabetes and other chronic conditions, this role will contribute to improving their overall health and quality of life. Position Duties: Qualifications: - Perform thorough foot assessments of patients' feet to identify potential issues such as infections, ulcers, deformities, or circulation problems, particularly in patients with diabetes or other chronic conditions. - Develop individualized care plans. Provide a wide range of foot care services, including nail care, callus removal and the treatment of foot conditions, ensuring a holistic approach to their overall health. - Administer wound care for foot ulcers, injuries, and infections, including cleaning, dressing, and monitoring healing progress. - Monitor high-risk patients, especially those with diabetes or circulatory conditions, to prevent foot complications like infections, ulcers, and amputations. - Educate clients, health care professionals and caregivers on proper foot care technique...
