The Water/Wastewater Plant Operator is responsible for the daily/routine maintenance of the Water/Wastewater Plant on property. Areas of knowledge and experience would include daily operations of the Water/Wastewater Plant. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this job class and are not all-inclusive for this position.) - Controls all valves for the proper flow of water into and through the treatment process. - Monitors and controls the appropriate application of all chemicals to the water during the treatment process. - Performs a variety of chemical/laboratory tests of water at prescribed intervals to determine chlorine residual, turbidity, alkalinity, and temperature levels. - Monitors and interprets chemical test data, plant machinery and water in process to track plant operations and to...
