Senior Cost Accountant I

Job description

The Sr. Cost Accountant I is an integral part of our plant management team within the Infrastructure Solutions business. Primary responsibility for all Financial duties for the Precast Products division. These include but not limited to month-end closing, compliance with established policies and procedures both internal and external, variance analysis driving continual improvement, full P&L and balance sheet responsibilities. This position reports to the Infrastructure Segment Controller. Responsibilities (Essential Functions): 1. Support internal business partners, other departments, management, and external parties. 2. Analyze trends in division wide costs and product line and business profitability. 3. Prepare monthly closing journal entries and take ownership of investigating / resolving variances in a timely manner. 4. Prepare detailed account analysis reports for specific balance sheet accounts. 5. Monitor cost systems, BOM, and inventory movements for financial reporting across four plant locations. 6. Manage and conduct physical inventory observations at company facilities and outside locations. 7. Provide guidance to personnel regarding inventory and ERP system issues. 8....
