Job description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform routine preventative maintenance on mechanical handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, sweepers, etc.) Document records of maintenance, inspections, and repairs. Select repair parts and update parts records. Repair mechanical damage and replace defective parts, which may include welding, brazing, and soldering. Repairs are made to mechanical handling equipment, racking, floors, plumbing, piping, and other warehouse structural components Maintenance and repair of batteries and chargers. Apply mechanical skills and knowledge to troubleshooting and repair of electrical, plumbing, pipe fitting, fabrication, building construction, and other warehouse maintenance/repair situations. Reads and interprets schematics, drawings, and other diagnostic aids in the scope of troubleshooting, repair, and fabrication work. Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
