Job description
Position Function: The Center for Advanced Vehicular Systems Extension (CAVS-E), located in Canton, MS, is focused on providing engineering training and technical assistance to manufacturing-related industries. Major activities include teaching professional development workshops, such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Problem Solving, among others, and conducting on-site engineering projects. Employees hired into Intermittent positions are limited to working no more than 720 hours per fiscal year. Salary Grade : UC: Please see Staff Compensation Structure or Skilled Crafts and Service Maintenance Compensation Schedule for salary ranges. For salary grade UC, these positions are "Unclassified" and salary ranges are determined by the hiring department.
