Title: Aviation Laboratory Technician (Temporary Part-Time) Department: Aviation Technology: Campus: Blount Campus: Closing Date: Open Until Filled: Type of Appointment: Temporary Part-Time: Pay Rate: $21.21 per hour: *If you are a PSCC Student and eligible for the Student Employment Program, you will be paid on experience and the rates are $14.00 (no experience), $15.00 (6 months experience) and $16.00 (9 months experience)*. Work Hours: work up to 30 hours per week Position Summary: The purpose of this grant funded position is to provide technical support to the Aviation Technology director, AVIT program and courses as well as provide support in the summer for the program. Duties and Responsibilities: 35% Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and calibrations on aviation tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with FAA standards. Troubleshoot and repair minor equipment malfunctions, documenting all maintenance activities 25% Prepare and set up laboratory activities for instructors and students, ensuring all necessary tools and materials are available and in good working condition.
