Description JOB SUMMARY AND SCOPE: The Clinical Informatics Specialist, as a member of the Clinical Informatics Team, plays a critical role in the ongoing training and support of our Providers and physician office staff and supports the mission and vision of Down East Community Hospital and Calais Community Hospital. Requirements: MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: - Graduate from an accredited school of nursing or related clinical degree/certification in other healthcare fields-i.e., respiratory therapy, pharmacy, medical assistant, laboratory science, etc. - Current knowledge of clinical practices and related information systems and computer applications is required. - Intermediate to advanced experience with computer software including but not limited to Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint or equivalent Office System. - At least two years of clinical experience is required. Cerner Oracle EMR experience preferred. - Excellent organizational and communication skills. Professional interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also demonstrating the ability to work effectively as a team member and team leader.
