This position is eligible for $5,000 retention bonus. Job Summary: The Providence Center Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) provides short-term care for patients experiencing an acute psychiatric and/or substance use crisis that could escalate to a point of requiring hospitalization. As an alternative to hospitalization or as a step-down for a transition between levels of care, the CSU’s services focus on stabilizing clients and addresses their mental health and substance use needs. Duties and Responsibilities: The Providence Center CSU Evening Nurse will conduct follow up assessments and evaluate client health care data collected through interviewing, observation, record review and team input. Analyze assessment data in conjunction with prescriber and team to formulate the basis of nursing care. Identify expected outcomes of care, individualized to the client, with the ultimate goal of improving client’s overall health status. Administer medications per prescriber’s orders and monitor lab results as indicated. Collaborate with the staff members in providing care to clients.
