Job description

Per Diem Days Summary: Performs hemodynamic monitoring procedures of a highly specialized nature as well as assists the physician during all procedures. Works with patients from adolescents to geriatrics. In addition, trains Cardiovascular Technicians and other Cath Lab personnel. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned. General Functions:  Performs hemodynamic monitoring procedures  Scrubs and assists physicians with procedures  Monitors different cardiac procedures and calculates hemodynamic data  Demonstrates the proper operations of Cath Lab/Special Procedures equipment  Assists the nursing personnel with emergency procedures for sudden adverse development in a patient’s condition  Assumes responsibility for maintenance and quality control of equipment as training allows  Performs functions under the direction and supervision of an RN  Assumes on-call duty.
