Physician OB/GYN - Part-time/ Moonlighting/ PRN

Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Admits, treats and discharges patients to the hospital in accordance with established policies/procedures. Prepares and signs hospital medical records and related reports in a timely manner. Completes and submits all encounter forms on a timely basis. Insures appropriate level of coding and complies with government and third party regulations regarding documentation, including teaching physician rules. - Communicates effectively with patients. Communicates health status and treatment plan to patient and/or family in a way that is clearly understood. Responds to patient’s needs including responding to patient phone calls in a timely manner. - Assures that medication is properly prescribed and documents this information in the patient chart; Physician shall also explain usage and side effects of medications to patient. Reviews and initials all incoming labs, X-rays and consultative reports making necessary adjustments to patient treatment. - Physician shall cooperate with other physicians employed by the Hospital in regard to providing services to patients and on-call schedule.
