Overview The mission of the Boston Public Schools (BPS) Academic Mentoring Program is to provide students with opportunities for personal, academic, and professional growth through mentorship. We aim to connect youth with caring adults who can guide and support them in navigating their educational journey while also building essential life skills. Our goal is to foster long-term, positive relationships that contribute to student success in and beyond the classroom, promoting both personal development and academic achievement. Program Overview and Model Our youth program focuses on connecting students, primarily from middle and high schools, with mentors who serve as role models, advocates, and sources of support. The program is structured around three key pillars: - Academic Support: Mentors work with students on enhancing study habits, time management, and subject-specific challenges.
