Department of Sociology Temporary Faculty Pool The Department: The Department of Sociology offers a BA in Sociology, a BA in Criminology and Justice Studies (CJS), a BA in Cannabis Studies, and an MA in Public Sociology. The CJS and Sociology BA degrees include a rigorous core of theory and methods, service learning, writing intensive courses, professional development seminar, and two capstone options. About two-thirds of the students in our programs identify as students of color, first-generation college students, and/or Pell Grant recipients. As a department we work to address social justice at the local, regional and global level. Our goal is to foster a desire and respect for social change amongst our students and our local community. Both our undergraduate and graduate programs encourage imagination, creativity and the development of applied methodological skills. We are engaged in our local community and the larger national and international debates through our research and our scholarly activism. We encourage you to join us!
