Design & Product Engineer (Software)

Job description

POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking a diligent and technically skilled QA Engineer to collaborate with development and product teams in ensuring the delivery of high‑quality software. The ideal candidate will design and execute both manual and automated tests, track defects, and help improve QA processes throughout the software development lifecycle. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: - Review requirements, technical specifications, and design documents; provide timely, meaningful feedback - Develop detailed and well‑structured test plans and test cases (manual and automated) - Estimate, prioritize, and coordinate testing activities across features and releases - Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using open source tools (e.g. Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Katalon) - Identify, document, and track defects; validate fixes and conduct regression testing - Liaise with developers and product managers to clarify requirements and assess quality risks - Monitor QA metrics (e.g. defect densities, open defect counts) and contribute to process improvements - Stay current with new testing tools, trends, and QA best practices QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS: Matthews Memorialization is a leader in...
