Job Title: Process Engineer Summary: The Process Engineer is responsible for ensuring that production casting processes are being performed as designed and quoted as well as offer assistance to the Engineering and Production team when needed for process verification, continuous improvement activities or optimization of the process Performance Expectation: - Develop high-pressure die cast process manufacturing parameters for aluminum castings such as PQ2, gate velocity, correct tonnage, metal pressure, plunger diameter, etc. - Interface with design personnel at development stage to suggest designs that will improve efficiency and reduce cost. Develop cost down ideas-no amount is too small. - Be responsible for supporting die designs, set up samples and trial evaluations, including replacement dies or new model dies - Study quality issues to determine root cause-approve and confirm countermeasures. - Introduce all measures necessary to maintain best possible standards and process-reliable conditions in a highly automated, high-pressure die casting process. - Assist with casting parameters to reduce the number of rejects and achieve daily production targets. - Identify and implement K...
