Staff Nurse - Adult Psychiatry (1JPE) Weekend Option Nights - ( 26002269 ) Description Sign-on incentive: Candidates are eligible for a sign on incentive of up to $12,500 based on experience This state-of-the-art unit design features private rooms, natural light-filled spaces, open nurses’ station, and exercise rooms. Innovative technology has been integrated into this space to promote a safe environment for staff members and patients. John Pappajohn Pavillion (1JPE) is a 4-bed inpatient unit with 4 beds for adults experiencing psychiatric symptoms related to mood disorders, thought disorders and, in some cases, co-occurring intellectual disabilities with psychiatric overlay. Patients are the most acutely ill and tend toward more dysregulated behavior than other adult units. Behavior management plans are supported by psychology professionals. The unit is routinely staffed with Registered Nurses, Psychiatric Nursing Assistants, and Behavioral Health Consultants within a treatment team that includes therapists, physicians, and social workers.
