Job description

Overview Position: Quality Engineer, Wieland Thermal Solutions, Inc., Wheeling, IL Duties: Responsible for ensuring products meet quality standards for the company. This will involve maintaining the ISO 9001:2015 certification and handling of the internal and external complaints. With thorough investigation of the customer complaints, and internal complaints, the root cause will be determined for effective corrective actions. Reports to Plant Manager. Investigates customer complaints to determine root cause and implement corrective actions and provide 8D reports to customers. Maintains ISO 9001:2015 certification, SOPs, Work Instructions and Quality records. Leads and supervises the quality team, assigning tasks and monitoring their performance. Works closely with production, engineering, supply chain, and other departments to address quality-related issues. Reviews new items or existing items for feasibility and/or improving the quality capability. Provides timely reports to Management for review for continuous Improvement and drive down the cost of Quality.
