Description Social Service Assistant: Valor Home, Summit, Veterans Services: Less than 20 Hours/Week: $15.00/Hour Schedule: Flexible scheduling, Determined on a case by case basis GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: The Social Service Assistant will be responsible to the Program Manager of the locality within which they are employed and work to provide a trauma-informed, safe and stimulating environment for clients. They will be expected to work within the policies and procedures of Family & Community Services and work toward the maintenance of excellent service standards and professional practices. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. To assist in the efficient running of the facility and its therapeutic programming and other general duties associated. 2. While utilizing trauma-informed care, assist clients upon shelter entrance with required paperwork, continued assistance throughout their shelter stay by providing supplemental case management, and assist in communication and coordination with various agencies to secure appointments and resources. 3.
