Classification Title: CLIN AST/ASO/FULL PROF Classification Minimum Requirements: MD and/or PhD with subspecialty fellowship training in microbiology (ACGME or CPEP-accredited). A strong foundation in clinical/molecular microbiology (bacteriology, mycology, mycobacteriology, parasitology, virology) and laboratory utilization management. Job Description: The successful candidate will co-lead the clinical microbiology laboratory while directing an established, data-driven diagnostic stewardship program. This program is fully supported by institutional leadership and operates through a multidisciplinary oversight committee to ensure governance, prioritization, and accountability for test utilization across the health system. Key Responsibilities: - Clinical Microbiology Leadership: Share medical and technical oversight of the microbiology lab, ensuring continuous compliance with CAP, CLIA, and state regulations. Provide expert consultation to healthcare providers regarding test selection, result interpretation, and antimicrobial stewardship.
