Responsibility Summary: - Under the supervision of the Housekeeping Supervisor, performs general and detail cleaning of all patient and non-patient areas. Observes professional standards, standard procedures, and safety precautions at all times. Must be 18 years old to operate floor machines and carpet equipment. Education: - Minimum: High School education or GED equivalent Experience: - Preferred: previous hospital housekeeping experience Essential Functions: - Operates and maintains electrical, battery, and mechanical equipment in safe working condition. - Complies with established policies and procedures regarding Infection Control, Right to Know, and Personal Protective Equipment requirements necessary for protection against exposure to blood and other potentially infectious body fluids, chemicals, radiation and other hazardous substances. - Incorporates Safety into all aspects of work.
