The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith-based organization, has a job opening for a Youth Development Professional for Shawnee Boys and Girls Club located in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Job Summary: Plans, implements, supervises, and evaluates activities provided within a specific program area such as Education, Special Education, Social Recreation, Arts & Crafts, and Physical Education. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of the standard rules and techniques of athletic sports such as baseball, basketball, and football. Ability to build effective and positive relationships with people of all ages. Ability to lead and motivate people participating in recreational activities. Education and Experience High school diploma or G.E.D., and six months experience coaching and supervising athletic events and experience maintaining grounds, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, abilities.
