Job DetailsJob Location: Marietta, OH 45750Position Type: Full TimeJob Shift: 8-Hour Day ShiftJob Category: Clerical SupportIn an environment of continuous quality improvement, the Patient Financial Advocate is responsible for serving to help all patients-especially those who are uninsured, underinsured, and have low incomes-assess and assist in resolving financial situations. This includes establishing payment plans and other financial arrangements, determining patients’ eligibility for hospital-sponsored charity care and external financial assistance, and collecting patient’s remaining estimated balances at point of service. Exhibits the MHS Standards of Excellence and exercises strict confidentiality at all times. Job Functions: Assists uninsured and underinsured patients with obtaining health care coverage Conducts detailed discussions with patients, obtains information, and collaborates with on-site Medicaid eligibility vendor to determine patient’s eligibility for Medicaid programs. Submits Ohio Department of Medicaid Presumptive Eligibility applications and collaborates with Medicaid on-site eligibility vendor to ensure patients complete full Medicaid application. Performs b...
