BUILDING MAINTENANCE SPECIALIST I

Job description

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma and two years formal technical training in a mechanical/electrical discipline or an associate degree in these disciplines. One year of experience in providing building maintenance work to include knowledge of; and demonstrated ability in electrical and mechanical systems. Must also be knowledgeable of carpentry, masonry, and HVAC chillers (minimum 100 tons). Must be able to read architectural engineering drawings and blueprints. Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office applications are required. Knowledge of contracts and administration is desirable. In lieu of formal training or degree; directly related experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis. INTERVIEW SELECTION PROCESS: The selection process may include one or more components to demonstrate applicants’ knowledge, skills and abilities in job related areas.
