Job Title: Heavy Duty Truck Assembler and Up-Fitter Location: Marshfield, Wisconsin: Company: Interstate Assembly Systems: Shift: First Shift Monday – Friday, 6:00am - 2:00pm – Every Saturday, and Sunday off!! Job Overview: Heavy Duty Truck Assemblers and Up-Fitters are skilled technicians responsible for assembling, modifying, and customizing heavy-duty trucks and their components to meet specific customer or operational requirements. This role involves working with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, ensuring quality standards, and adhering to safety protocols in a manufacturing or workshop environment. Key Responsibilities: - Assembly: Install and assemble major truck components such as cranes, axles, and smaller chassis components (toolboxes, chock holders, cone holders, etc.) using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment. - Up-Fitting: Customize trucks by adding specialized equipment or features, such as PTO, hydraulic systems, toolboxes, or custom bodies (e.g., dump beds, flatbeds), based on blueprints, schematics, or customer specifications. - Wiring and Electrical: Install and connect electrical wiring, and control systems for lights, sensors, and auxi...
