Job description

The Government, Regional & Community Affairs team in Corporate Affairs is seeking a Specialist for its Bronx Team. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, goal-oriented and demonstrate a strong commitment to building positive relations with local communities, elected officials, not-for-profit organizations and other key stakeholders. The candidate must (a) have strong oral and written communication and presentation skills; (b) have excellent interpersonal skills to effectively work with various levels of local government, management, community groups and elected officials; (c) be efficient, organized and excellent at follow-through; (d) demonstrate the ability to interact with diverse communities; (e) be politically savvy and able to exercise independent judgment; (f) have a passion for making a difference; and (g) possess a strong sense of professional judgment and ability to solve problems creatively. Strong project management skills are preferred, as is experience in public speaking and making presentations in front of public audiences.
