This Opportunity WSP is currently initiating a search for aa Assistant Resident Engineer out of our New York, New York office Be part of a dynamic, national professional construction management organization, that continues to foster careers, while expanding our client base throughout New York area. - Manage inspection and office staff. - Responsible for record keeping, correspondence, compiling and delivering of required reports. - Ongoing collaboration with clients, contractors/subcontractors, designers, subordinate and support staff. - Chair various project meetings, record and distribute meeting minutes. - Monitoring contractor performance, scheduling, effectiveness and quality control. - Review and approve daily inspection reports and payment quantities in accordance with regional agency requirements. - Prepare Change Orders for overruns, changed conditions and additional work. - Log and coordinate with the designer to respond to contractors’ submittals, RFI's and shop drawings. - Oversee site safety, quality, permit compliance, and coordination with other adjacent projects. - Work with clients to inform public about upcoming work and potential impacts.
