Description POSITION: The Department of Veterinary Pathobiology in the College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences at Texas A&M University is seeking one (1), 9-month, academic professional track (non-tenure) position as Instructional Assistant Professor with an emphasis in biomedical sciences and genetics with responsibilities for teaching (80%) and service (20%). The successful applicant will be based at the Texas A&M University Higher Education Center (HECM) at McAllen, in South Texas. GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This position plays a key role in supporting the continued growth of the Biomedical Sciences (BIMS) program at HECM and in teaching introductory and advanced genetics courses to students completing their full four-year degree in McAllen. Teaching responsibilities will include undergraduate instruction in the Biomedical Sciences (BIMS) program. The incumbent will teach genetics and other program-relevant courses for students in biomedical sciences and other health- and biology-related majors at the McAllen campus.
